Lloseta features two important local festivities. The first event is the Virgin of Lloseta town’s patron ceremony and it is held on the 8th of September. The main event is the religious celebration that takes place in the parochial church in the morning. Authorities and the rest of the citizens attend the event. In addition, during the week prior to the 8th, many cultural, sportive and entertainment activities are carried out.
The second event is the celebration of the pilgrimage of Coco, which takes place on the first Wednesday after Easter. This procession is the present continuation of the old pilgrimage (pancaritat) where all the citizens worshipped the Virgin in the chapel built in the former estate of Son Ramon. On this day, the political and ecclesiastical authorities of Lloseta start the celebrations with a walk from the parroquial temple to the chapel where the ecclesiastical ceremony takes place.
Throughout the day the current Coco avenue concentrated the whole pilgrimage and counts with the presence of visitors from the neighbouring towns.
Moreover Lloseta counts with a weekly market held on Saturdays at Plaça d’Espanya where you can find a huge variety of local and quality food products. One of the events that has become very popular throughout the years is the Shoe fair. Gathering the excellent shoemaking tradition the village has, this exhibit takes place every month of June. Stalls with product samples of the leading brands from the Lloseta and other municipalities are displayed. At the fair there are also demonstrations of the artisanal methods of shoe making.
